I love the way the cloud goes over the landscape and darkens it for a time. Then the sun breaks through again and things are brand new again. This painting is about a sleepy afternoon on the water.
There is the beautiful Peppermint Grove Beach where I often visit at the end of the day. It’s so recognisable. You get to see it from up at the lookout and it’s just wonderful.
