People might sometimes feel disappointed. Or that they sometimes have to compromise too much to get on, to be in business. They might feel a sense of limitation and sacrifice.
Yet here we are in this wonderful place. I want to expand people’s view of Perth and invite them to fall in love again with where they live.
This is a large painting that shows the vast metropolis of Perth, looking from the north over the forest and lakes and playing fields of our green northern suburbs. The Perth CBD is flanked by the Swan River, which joins with the Canning River to make its gentle way to the Indian Ocean. Looking down the coast, you can see from City Beach to Cottesloe and Fremantle, and down to Garden Island and beyond, right down to the beautiful jetty at Busselton and the lighthouse at Cape Naturaliste.
