I’m thinking that this is a time to soothe our spirits from what has been a tough summer. It’s a time to remind ourselves that nature can also be generous, resilient and forgiving.
Even in our beautiful cities, there’s the trees and the water giving back to us as we make our busy way.
At the moment I’m enjoying an eagle’s view of Sydney. I’m giving the city a fresh treatment in the same way as a shower of rain would clear the air. Here is a city that is so beautiful, playful and surprising.
I love finding new ways to look at the familiar. For me the new year is all about rediscovering the wonderful things that are already in my life, in my place and in my country.
I feel I need to treasure them more than ever.
I wonder what you will make of these new paintings.
