This landscape painting shows the city of Perth. You can see the beach stretching up from Fremantle through Cottesloe and beyond City Beach, Rottnest and the Swan River up to Freshwater Bay. The forests, lakes, houses, schools and playing fields of the city’s north west span the horizon. The city is dynamic, with people and families flowing in and out all of the time, symbolised by houses gently floating in and out of view.

This painting is about being part of an aspirational community where a culture of learning is celebrated, lighting up our hopes and dreams for the future.
