All The Individuals That Make Up The Community

Winner: People’s Choice, 2019 Town of Claremont Art Awards

In this painting of Claremont, I’ve used colourful rows as metaphors for both houses and people – our community living together, connected and separate. Each person has their jewel-like colour and when you draw together all these colourful individuals, that’s when you get the vibrancy of village life. This is a homage to places created by the striving of individuals who live and work there.
